Bacon Wrapped Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 boneless skinless chicken breasts halves
  • 2 (8 oz) cartons chive and onion cream cheese
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • salt (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees then between 2 sheets of wax paper use a mallet to flatten chicken breasts to about ½ inch thickness. Now spread the 3 tablespoons of cream cheese over each of the chicken breasts then dot with butter and season with salt to taste. Now wrap the breasts with the bacon then stick a toothpick completely through the rolled chicken breast to hold everything together. Bake the baco wrapped chicken breast uncovered for 35-40 minutes until juices run clear then set the oven to broil and place six inches from the heat for 5 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. Serve hot. Makes a very tasty and unique side dish or appetizer.
