Pork Spare Ribs Recipe
- 4 lb. pork spare ribs
- 1 3/4 ground ginger, divided
- 1 medium onion, cut up
- 1 cup apple juice
- 4 tbs. cider vinegar, divided
- 2/3 apricot preserves
- 2 tbs. butter or margarine
- 1 tbs. soy sauce
Preparation:

Heat the grill to medium heat or about 300°F to 350°F then rub ribs with 1 tsp. of the ginger; place ribs and onion in foil and salt and pepper to taste. Now add apple juice and 3 tbs. of the vinegar then cover foil and grill 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender. Also in a medium size saucepan blend apricot preserves and remaining 1 tbs. vinegar with 3/4 tsp. ginger, butter and soy sauce. Cook stirring over medium heat until preserves and butter are melted then set aside. Place ribs on grill and baste with with apricot sauce on both sides. Grill uncovered for 10 to 20 minutes or until sauce is set. Baste occasionally until done.
